“The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as now they look upon the murder of men.”
– Leonardo da Vinci
“Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.”
– Thomas Edison (1847-1931)
Animal testing is a form of animal abuse which causes millions of little (some not so little), defenseless creatures to die every month (yes, every month) in commercial, military and federally funded universities. Animal experimentation has become a very bad habit, and it is scientifically unnecessary, unreliable, and 110% cruel! Hundreds of scientists from all over the world agree that animal testing is totally useless and a waste of time as well as money. Now, new technologies offer proven alternatives that are a lot cheaper, more accurate, and more humane. This shows that animal testing is absolutely pointless, because this does not give any excuse to allow animal experimentation to continue.
Animal testing is still being carried out all over the world. Here are a handful of products which have been tested on animals and should be boycotted:
- Ace
- Alldays
- Always
- Bold
- Charmin
- Denclen
- Eufaula
- Febreze
- Flash
- Hugo Boss
- Head & Shoulders
- IAMS
- Lenor
- Milton
- Olay
- Pantene Pro-V
- Pringles
- Sinex
- Sunny Delight
- Tampax
- Vaporub
- Viakal
- VS (haircare)
- Vortex
- Zest
The products above were produced by Procter and Gamble. It is one of the largest manufacturers of household cleaning and personal hygiene products in the world. They produce more than three hundred brands in over one hundred and forty countries, with a global turnover of over $35 billion. Around fifty thousand animals die in their hands every year!
In a nutshell, all I am trying to tell you is that animal testing is evil and should be stopped. Buy products that have not been tested on animals and boycott those that have been experimented on these poor, pitiful creatures. One may not make any difference, but many can change everything! Influence others to do the same, and before you know it, animal testing will be a thing of the past. |
