Book Review: Rosie Dunne by Cecelia Ahern
By SYARIFAH AMINAH IBRAHIM, Form 1 Cempaka

Cecelia Ahern has done it again.

Her first book, ‘PS, I love you’ was an international bestseller, and ‘Rosie Dunne’ is about to do the same. Rosie Dunne tells the charming story of Rosie and Alex; friends since they were 5 years old and destined for each other. And yet they remain oblivious to fate–everyone knows they are meant to be, except them. Ahern uses letters, notes, e-mails and instant messages to narrate her story.
Rosie and Alex stay close, even if they are in different continents, and are there for each other through heartbreaks, parenthood, family chaos, marriage and divorce. The romance between the two is so poignant, but the timing is never truly right.

Rosie Dunne is a touching, sentimental story about missed opportunities and what happens when The One is so close, yet so far. Definitely a book to finish in one sitting.
Warning: You may feel the urge to skip to the ending around halfway
through the book. Resist the urge, because rest assured, the ending is well worth the frustration.
