A Horror Story
By VICTORIA HAU, Standard 4 Terra

At the stroke of twelve, I heard a terrible noise. All of a sudden, from the backyard of my house, there was a loud, piercing scream. I ran down the stairs. I crept to the backyard and was frightened to see a dark figure coming closer and closer to me. As it came closer, I could see its dark, tangled hair, bloody eyes and a knife in its hand, which made me shiver and shake.

I wanted to run but I was totally glued to the ground. It held up the knife, ready to stab me. I screamed and ran for my life. At last, I could run. I ran out of the door but that creature wouldn't give up. It floated off the ground and chased me.

Soon, it caught up with me. This time it had a sack. It grabbed me and stuffed me into the sack. I kept calling for help but no one came. I felt scared. I kept thinking of how to get out of the sack.

Suddenly, I felt something cold and metal-like. I sighed and cut a hole in the sack with the object and started running. Little did I know, the ghost had powers. It shot a sticky substance and it hit me. This time I was nailed to the ground.

The ghost made a weird noise. Soon, ghosts were everywhere. I fainted because I was scared. All of a sudden, I felt someone grabbing me and carrying me away. When I gained my conscience, I found myself back in my room. The person who saved me was my brother, Rick. I sighed and was happy that I was safe but I had a feeling that the ghost would come looking for me again.
