A Note From the Deputy

Yet another month has flown by, in a blink of an eye, we moved through the month of August, also known as the month of Merdeka! Besides that, previously in July, we faced sorrowful and tragic losses of a few remarkably talented beings that have left their mark here on Earth. We mourn and weep for the death of our beloved Yasmin Ahmad, the Charlie's Angels one and only Farrah Fawcett, as well as our very own 'King of Pop', Michael Jackson.

On a lighter note, last month was packed with full of activities and events. One of the most important events was the birthday celebration of our beloved chairman, Datin Freida on 7 August 2009. It was an eventful and entertaining celebration that captured the heart of the esteemed Datin Freida. Overwhelmed by emotion, she gave all students a free lunch. All in all, it was a terrific day for everybody and those who was involved in this event. Over and above, I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the YJC society, to congratulate all the outstanding students who have received the awards and records of achievements as recognition for their excellent performance in the past year. Well done to all the students who had strived for excellence. You have certainly earned the certification.

On this month's issue, we have received a very compelling article called 'The Weirdest Day' by Chin Wye Mun. It is about her whole family that might just have been kidnapped! Well, if you fellow readers want to know more, you have got to read it for yourself.

Happy reading and enjoy!
