Of Restaurant that burns holes in pockets. Like yours.

PL : Despite its rather pricey food, our rumbling stomachs have brought us to Starhill Gallery's Feast Village-a combination of various types of unique restaurants.

PK : Food, food!

The Restaurants Available in the Starhill Gallery:
-Koryo-won - Korean restaurant
-myThai - Thai cuisine
-Jake's Charbroiled Steak - steak, of course!
-Fisherman's Cove - seafood lovers, this is your heaven
-Tarbush - Middle Eastern cuisine
-Luk Yu Teahouse - authentic Hong Kong food
-Shook! - fusion food, basically Italian, Chinese, Japanese and
Western cuisine all under one roof!
-Pat Lok Teochew Restaurant - Teochew food
-The Bakery Moments - a bakery
-Vansh - Indian food
-Sentidos Tapas - a Spanish tapas bar
-The Village Bar - your run-of-the-mill-bar
-Enak - a combination of Indonesian and Malay cuisine.

PL : Visitors probably have a very tough time choosing a place to eat as there are so many wonderful choices; there are thirteen restaurants to choose from! So far, we have tried eating at Koryo-won, myThai, Fisherman's Cove, and let us not miss out our favourite, Shook! All of them are different and unique in their own way.

PK : Of course, we cannot really pick out the best one among them all; they're all so good in their own ways! Besides, getting our points of view on how great the restaurant is quite subjective. Either way, I think we should go on with what we have to say.

PL : Hmm, all right then. Koryo-won, a Korean restaurant seems highly favoured by many people. Most of the tables are taken just about every time we pay a visit to Starhill. What is so special about it is the way the food is served. Orders of meat arrive at the table and are put into metal hot plate to cook. Just the smell of this delicious aroma is enough to make you feel ravenous.

PK : I know what you mean! I've only been there once, but I must say that the aroma of the food cooking in front of you is irresistible. Even walking past the restaurant makes my stomach scream at me for not eating there.

PK : Moving on to MyThai, the Thai restaurant. It is actually inspired by Jim Thompson, the man who made Thai silk very popular. What can I say; the food served there is truly authentic! One of their must-tries is their fish cake. If you ever thought about going to a Thai restaurant and missing out on the fish cake, more power to you. Their tom yam is simply mouth-watering. It isn't the normal super spicy one served in mamak stalls. And in case you didn't know, good tom yam is not very spicy, but more on the sour side.

PL :
Fisherman's Cove is also one of our favourites. We like how the restaurant is decorated like a boat and the wooden chairs are big and chunky. The bamboo lamps and the sails also add a touch of authenticity. Glass tanks filled with fish are displayed so visitors are really guaranteed fresh food. Not only is seafood served, other dishes such as the delectable foie gras (if you didn't know, that's goose's liver for you. Sounds weird? I must say it's yummy!) and pasta are served. Do save space in your stomach to try their interesting dessert!

PK : Let's not forget their soup. No seafood restaurant is complete without a lobster bisque or a seafood bisque, at least. Its richness is simply indescribable!

PL : Shook!, one of the old restaurants which has been renovated, is a very good place to have your meal. Why? Shook! serves all kinds of food(fusion) and while waiting for the food to arrive, visitors can listen to a live band playing. The ambience is just great! To pasta lovers, we recommend the scampi pasta or the Bolognese. As to dessert freaks, there's the tiramisu which comes in a cup and is served with a crunchy biscuit and sauce.

PK : They also have their signature appetizers. One of them include the snow white dancing prawns. No, these prawns don't dance on your plate. It is called snow white because it is smothered with mayonnaise and the prawns are deep-fried with a batter. And their Asian spiced tofu! Fried stuff once again.

PK : Hungry yet? I'll fill you in with the Teochew restaurant, Pat Lok. The restaurant has a decor, which is just like a normal Chinese restaurant, minus the hustle and bustle and it's comparatively smaller than most Chinese restaurants. There is a particular booth seat with all the old Chinese wines displayed behind a glass. Some of these wines are more than 10 years old! Some of the recommended food includes the duck slices served with tofu. They also have duck feet, if you're feeling very adventurous or if you can't control your love for duck or chicken feet(don't worry, they're clean! There apparently is an outer layer of skin that is peeled out before cooking it.)

PL : I give their dessert or nee (typical Teochew dessert; sweet sticky yam) 5 stars! It's not too sweet, yet still has that sweetness to it.

PL : Well, after writing this piece of work, both of us can feel our mouths watering so we will just stop here. There are many more restaurants that we have not tried but we'll leave it to you to find out how delectable the food is!

PK : I know what you mean! Thus, if you feel like spending your moolah on food, this is the place for you to go. Don't say we didn't warn you about their prices! A main course could be about RM 40 - 60, and drinks could be around RM 5 - 20, depending on what you order. Therefore, save money now and try out one of these great restaurants!
